This course is for Designated Allergy Leads who have been working with us for a year and want to renew their training. Designated Allergy Lead training should be refreshed annually to keep up to speed with any developments in allergy leadership, changes in legislation, and to retain access to our community of allergy leads, drop-in sessions and ongoing support. The introduction of Benedict's Law has seen huge changes in terms of managing allergies and asthma in school. Having a named senior leader who oversees the school's allergy safety policies is now a legal requirement for most schools in England and this refresher helps allergy leads to understand their responsibilities. What's included in the renewal package? Renewal includes our Managing Allergy and Asthma in Schools online training which has been updated in line with Benedict's Law, plus a 1.45hr live masterclass which includes: ✅ Ensuring your school is compliant with Benedict's Law ✅ Managing asthma alongside allergies ✅ Getting ready for the new regulations ✅ Running knowledge checks for your staff to ensure they have understood their training ✅ Scenario based training to help you prepare for situations ✅ Knowledge sharing with other Designated Allergy Leads You will also come away with a handy checklist to check compliance. Renewing also gives you continued access to our ongoing support which includes our weekly update email bulletins, plus access to our drop-in sessions and regular webinars where you can ask questions and swap best practice with other Designated Allergy Leads. Please note: the person who makes the booking will receive a login to access the online training and the link to join the live masterclass on your chosen date. If you are making the booking on behalf of someone else you must share this information with them.
